Dr Hann qualified from Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham University, with a Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree in 1997 and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 1999. She went on to obtain her membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2003 before completing her dermatology specialist training at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff in 2008. She completed the British Society of Dermatological Surgeons (BSDS) Mohs fellowship in Cardiff before accepting her substantive consultant post in Cornwall in 2009.
Dr Hann works as a consultant dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, Truro. She is the specialty lead for the department and specialises in skin cancer diagnosis and treatments including performing Mohs micrographic surgery. She is involved with teaching and training and set up her local tele-dermatology service which involves remote assessment of skin lesion and dermatological conditions using photographic images.
In her spare time, Samantha looks after her young family and enjoys making the most of what the Cornish coast has to offer.
